Easter: Rebirth & Our Divine Potential

Easter has always held a special place in my heart. I can vividly recall the mischief I got into at the age of two,
hiding raw eggs in the house long after Easter Sunday had passed. Over the years, my love for this season has deepened, especially as I've come to understand its deeper, spiritual meanings.

In the Christian calendar, Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the
Spring Equinox, making it a significant lunisolar holiday.

But why is Easter linked to both the moon and the sun?
And why is the egg such a central symbol during this time?

Easter: A Time of Rebirth

Easter marks a time of transformation.

The vernal equinox signifies a rebirth, a fresh start, while the full moon represents the culmination and fruition of cycles. This duality suggests that Easter is a reflection of our own potential for renewal. It serves as an annual reminder of the divine potential within each of us, a potential that has been with us since the beginning of time.

The egg, a symbol woven through countless cultures and creation myths, from ancient Greece and Egypt to Chinese and Hindu traditions -embodies both the new beginning and the entire cosmos. It is a symbol of the infinite potential we carry within us. Just like the egg, we are capable of great transformation, ready to hatch into something new.

The Silver & Gold Chakras

In my practice, I often refer to the silver and gold chakras, which play a critical role in accessing our soul’s potential. These chakras aren’t located within the body, but instead, exist in the energetic space around us.
The silver chakra, close to the body, reflects our soul’s memories, our past lives, and our probable selves.
The golden chakra, which exists further out, represents our divine potential,
our connection to the universe and our boundless future.

When we work with the moon, we use the mirror-like quality of the silver chakra to reflect on our inner light
and shadow. The solar energy taps into the golden chakra, unlocking our limitless potential.
Through this work, we begin to recognize and activate the vast potential within ourselves,
much like the egg containing a universe yet to unfold.

The Aries/Libra Full Moon on April 12th

The full moon on April 12th brings an energetic surge, offering a perfect opportunity for culmination and clarity.
It’s a time to assess what is growing in your life and to identify any obstacles that may be hindering your growth.
The full moon’s light will illuminate what you need to see, and you may gain a clearer understanding of
your current opportunities and obstacles. This full moon also coincides with the shifting energies
of Neptune in Aries, the end of eclipse season, and Mercury going direct, making it a powerful
time to observe and reflect.

Aries/Libra Full Moon Saturday, April 12th, 5:21 pm PDT/AZ, 7:21 pm EDT, 2:21 pm HI

During this time, I encourage you to create a Full Moon Wheel ritual.
This practice invites you to reflect on all areas of your life - mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Take time to sit quietly, light a candle, and reflect on your current path.

What insights arise?
Where do you need to focus your energy?

This ritual serves as a personal inventory, helping you track your progress and acknowledge
what’s working and what needs adjustment.

Full Moon Wheel Ritual

*Give yourself some time to get quiet and meditative to do your Full Moon Wheel.

*Draw a Full Moon Wheel or use the Full Moon worksheet.

*If possible, do your Full Moon Wheel at the Full Moon or on the day of the Full Moon.
The Full Moon energy is experienced the day before and the day after the Full Moon,
sometimes I record my insight over the course of several days.

*Light a candle and ask for illumination and insight.

*Consider each area of your life Mental, Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual and record your observations.

*Be scientific with it. Be accepting of the insights and non-judgmental of yourself.

*This is an opportunity to see and record the results of your life. Be as open and honest with yourself as possible.

*Make it special: use paint, colored pencils, pens, glitter, or collage.

In addition to lunar cycles, I also consider the process of “soul gardening” as essential to personal growth.
Like plants that are influenced by the moon, seasons, and rhythms of nature, we too are deeply interconnected with the natural world. Over the years, I’ve come to realize that we are already in sync with the earth’s cycles,
even when we may not consciously recognize it. Our lives, much like the plants in a garden,
follow rhythms that can be nurtured for growth and transformation.

Just as I prepare my literal garden each spring, I encourage you to also tend to your spiritual garden.
Take time to clear your plate and make space for reflection, prayer, and dreaming. Whether you’re planting seeds
for your garden or your dreams, now is the time to connect deeply with nature’s cycles.

The silver and gold chakras, the full moon rituals, and the cycles of nature all guide us toward a deeper connection
with our soul’s purpose. As we align with the rhythms of the earth and the moon, we begin to unlock our divine potential. This is a time of rebirth, a time to nurture the seeds of possibility within us. Allow the full moon’s energy to
illuminate the path ahead and guide you toward your highest potential.
